I first started modifying my car this time last year, so fucking with spray cans and chnaging wheels and seats etc etc was a nitemare, But looking back on it, it was brilliant as i was so dedicated no matter what the weather I would find something!

I find I have more motivation to work on a car when it's cold, that motivation soon stops shortly afterwards when my hands go blue.

I no longer have to worry about this, but yes it used to be like that before we moved, its worse when you have spent all day trying to make the dam thing work only to realise you need a part and then find that its too late to order as the day after is sunday, where as if you had started first thing when it was warmer you could of fixed it rather than leaving it.

Got my corsa parked outside on my grans drive! Awful to work on in the cold!

I remember when i had my mark 3 astra and needed to change the lamba sensor....it was -3 when i started at 8am, i was using mole grips to undo the dam thing, slipped and more or less punched the engine couldnt feel a dam thing, but boy was my hand a mess!

Got it changed in the end, and sold it a week later for a grand!

+1

changed rads in the rain and snow before which isnt fun but you got to do what you got to do

got a very small garage now just big enough to put the car in and a few tools and i've rebuilt the back end of my car.. its amazing what you can do with a garage or overly large sheds
