Exterior Styling = Fiesta

Interior Styling = Mini

Speed = I haven't actually driven an ST but the Cooper S is really good fun with the Forced Induction. Depends what you're used too as I can't imagine there is too much in it?

Handling = Both are very good cars for handling, I think the Mini has the edge though

MPG = Fiesta will be better

In terms of repairs or spare parts, Fiesta will be cheaper by miles. I like my Fiesta alot but I do sometimes wish I had something a bit less 'cheap' looking which is where the Mini wouldn't get that feeling as it's very well built and not all plastic like the Fiesta.

It's all personal preference at the end of the day

ST's are very under rated cars and very nippy

Not keen on mini's bt if its about saving money then none of them fit the bill as they will drink fuel

men in mini's = HAHAHAHA.
I voted ST as IMO they look much nicer cars and very spacious inside, although i have never been in a mini, men in them does not look right.

I wish ST's weren't such good looking cars 'cause then I could stop wanting one. In Frozen White too, yummy.

Mini without a doubt, you will loose three times the money you save on fuel in depreciation with the fiesta.

150 miles per hour try 128 standard.

decent cars with mods on, average without.

need eibach springs to handle much better than standard.

i stand corrected (been in one that did over 140 tho )

but at the end of the day when you going to do more than 130mhp??

they are fast little cars, more mid range get up and go and they are fun cars to drive, i think the pole so far says it all..

ST's are proper slow. On paper they look quick, 150 bhp, 2.0 16v... surely quick???

Nope. Surprisingly slow for what they are. Probably due to heavy weight.

My 106 gti used to rape them.

I had a JCW black Mini cooper S, they are in a different class to the fiesta performance wise...

I was able to straight line out drag focus RS's in mine...

The fiesta ST as said is warm at best, the sort of car a bloke under 20 gets and thinks is quick IMO, most owners i see are girls.

Minis handle ace from the box, are quick and have the fantastic supercharger whine.

and WTF are you on about the plugs! Do you run out of fuel often? If you do, look on the dash, it has a fuel gauge when it gets low, BUY FUEL!!!

Oh, dont get the ST you'll regret it when a mini pisses past you :-P

very interesting thread this guys and ltos of food for thought i dont want a car to think its quick

I want a comfy reliable car that will save me money over the Audi and looks good. They both fit the bill but I am struggling to seperate them (although I am edging towards the Fiesta )
