Who on here has or has owned one. Looking at the mk4's.
Looking at 2 on ebay, Ones an envoy and the other a sportive, Both 1.7 dti's.
Anyone know what to look for with the engines, Is it just the basics like with other cars?
Also, Need some inspiration with modding one, Thinking of been a bit different from having a car

diesel pump is bad for going on them, apart from that not much. but a re-con pump costs £500

I was going to say about the diesel pump too. There seems to be a lot of them for sale with broken ones too, but second hand ones a cheap and recon ones are reasonable.

Whatever you do don't get a 1.7TD, one of the worst engines ever put in a car.

It's crap, it's got about 6bhp and an equal amount of torque.
I'm talking about the vaux engine btw.

In all honesty it doesn't bother me, As long as it gets me from A to B, Its reliable (ish), can carry things around and can look fairly good and different with simple mods.
Afterall i've already got the speed part sorted.

The isuzi one is good, really don't get the vaux one though, it's shocking, I've got one sat outside, it's going soon.

iirc the vaux ones says either vaux or vauxhall on the top, I'd go and look but it's dark and raining.

I've seen a few that just say Turbo on them, some that are plain and a few with vaux in black.

The dti's aren't the same engine as the td, the one in the pics above doesn't look like the td.
