why it shouldn't be opel friendly.?. if you have 7inch wide rim you can fit it with an offset of 45, right? in theory if you'd stretch 6.5 inch into 7 inch while keeping offset proportions it'd give you offset of 44.35. remeber, that offset value is not some magic number that determines that you will fit a rim, you always have to look how wide the rim is... on 7.5 1000migila action even the 45 offset wouldn't help withouth any arch job...

i got to agree, that 15' will be too small very very soon, but i actually love the vulcan look and as the roads are bloody shitey 15' will be safer.

It's not Opel friendly cos the car won't drive as well as with ET45 rims. Also a few mm makes all the difference when it comes to wheel clearance, and you will find they'll probably catch on the back.

bigger than 16' - impossible... not in poland... not on these roads... 16' seems to be the top possible rim here... for corsa... i wish there was 16' vulcan from 100+ or opel-friendly 1000miglia evo in 16', but there aren't any... at least here...

i agree that the more offset the rim got the better (more opelish) it is. but in the matter of catching on the back i do not agree, as the wheel clearance will be the same on 6.5 et38 as on 7 et45 (only difference is that the wheel on 6.5 will be sticking to the side about 0.65mm more... is that such a big difference?

Ok you're wrong. Get a job as wheel advisor for a Halfords store - you'd fit in a treat!

I'm not attacking you. Also as a director for a Vauxhall wheel specialist I'm in a position to talk about fitments!

I know how a wheel is calculated thank you.

A 6.5Jx15" ET38 wheel WILL catch on the back of a Corsa.

but 7x15 et 45 will not?

i'll draw how i see it... correct me...

<------- 7 inch = 177.8 mm ------>

|--------------------.--------------------| <- that's the rim
|....................|..< the middle......|
|....................|....................|
|......................et..|<..point at...| wich rim is mounted on the hub
|.....................<->..|..............|
|....................|....................|
|....................|....................|
|-----------------------------------------|

if you lower the et to 38 (the 7 mm difference) - this will make the will to stick these 7mm more to the side. but than the whole rim is 0.5 inch wide less (12.7 mm) than divide it by 2, as the offset is calculated as the lenght between the middle of the rim and its mounting point you get 6.35 mm of difference. so the 6.5 et38 should stick to the side about the same as 7 et 45. that's how i've been thinking all the time...
