I 'm having trouble with my amp. When I turn the stereo on, the sub slowly pulls into the box and then makes a popping sound then the amp protection light comes on. I've checked all the wires and everything looks fine. It was working for about 6 months no problem. Any ideas.

try a different amp. could have blown it.

check the gain isn't too high. disconect the sub and see if it stays on with the sub disconected.
