If you have a private plate, there is no need to get fancy writing. It looks boyracerish and tacky. Just stick to simple stuff. Less chance of getting pulled and the reg plate taken away from you then.

Still illegal, but simple 3D writing on a plain background (Well, plaininsh being TVR).

Sorry, i think u'll find that ANY registration plate without the standard lettering and spacing is now illegal as from Jan2003.

Hence why TVR would not make up my plate the way i wanted it, had to get just the backing sent in the end.

The police are coming down hard on any plates that are not plain now. Hence why ours are plain looking, just illegally spelt

What FTM is saying is that Tony's example is all legal. ie border, ghosting, font etc. The only illegal part on it is the spacing, it should read T2 NYD not T2NY D
Tony, you might get away with it for months or you might get pulled every other day, its up to you.

just carry a correct set around with you. Or have illegal on front and legal on back, since most times coppers will pull you from behind
