i kno a lad who has a 1.2 Clio and he is wanting to "Tune" the engine up abit, and has asked me to tune it all up for him, i've said an induction kit, exhaust, 4-branch, de-cat, anything else he could do to it? or any clio tuning websites i could look at? i know this is a corsa forum but i though ya's might be able to give me abit of help

yeah i was thinking that when he told me the engine size, but its his money, if he wants to waste it and pay me to do it then i aint botherd lol

For the money that you would spend on tuning it, You could drop a larger engine in from sportier model.

doesnt want to have an engine transplant done to it. think a turbo on a 1.2 is abit OTT tbh lol, just want cheap, simple effective mods

how is it ott? the clio 3's come with a 1.2 turbo engine as standard same engine from the twingo gt's.

well he has decided he wants a back box (aftermarket) and it lowering. so that will be getting done in the next couple of weeks.

Tbh his money would be better spent on keeping it maintained, the gains wont be anything great on a 1.2 imo, and just keeping the car serviced ad looking after it is the best thing to do IMO, and no sure if it works well with Clio's but de-restricting the aribox is a cheap and easy mod, not sure if it can be done on Clio's though.
Otherwise either buy another Clio with a bigger engine or transplant a bigger one into his.
But like you say a backbox and lowering spings isnt a huge amount of money to buy and easy to fit normally so i would go for that.
