Can anybody find me a WORCESTER GREENSTAR HIGHFLOW 440CDI or an Alpha CD50 for less than £1500, significantly less, I can find them for 50 quid either way.

Just asked my dad (Self Employed Plumber of 30 years)

He said he'd be able to get around 20% off. I'll get him to get a quote for it tomorrow if you'd like.

He'll get a quote from a national company, so if you sent a cheque down made out to "Plumb Centre", or something similar, you could get your local branch to deliver it etc.

I use Main 30 HE combi boilers when I do my own jobs, never had to go back to one and Ive done around 20 of them, they are made by Baxi/Potterton and I pay £674 for them with a flu kit, filling loop, build in timer and scale inhibitors

I'm guessing it's got to be a freestander, are they generally more expensive matt?

Doesn't have to be a freestander but thats the only way they seem to come when they flow so much.

That baxi only flows 12l/min, needs to at least 2 showers.

It was this or a mega flo setup, he's decided to go for the combi because we don't need to rip half the house apart to fit it.

Got one of these eventually even though every single person I asked to get me a price didn't.

It's worth the money for the showers if nothing else.

We had a fairly powerful pump for the showers with the old boiler but it's nothing compared to mains pressure

most people moan when we tell them we will have to take their shower pump out, most times mains pressure is more than enough though

we have a 4 bar pum in our house, its turned down to 2 bar though, 4 bar is rediculous, I thought it had drew blood on 4 bar I was in agony
