I have the MD version - MDX690 and am pretty impressed with it.
Aim for JL subs if u can as they are really good, and 12" is a decent size for low bass lines.

sony headunits from my experience are cr4p, the amps fry and the sound quality is pap, i paid the same amount for a kenwood one £185 from one of these mag places and its far superior

yer, but the alpine 1 is jst really plain!the sony one looks class, and aint that bad sound!but the no face-off is a bit rubish like!any ohers u's can reccomened?and im also gettin 12'' JL sub, wot else i need?

most peeps on here will say, JL all the way! the subs are good, i havent seen or tried a h/u, anywayz from personal experience i would go for pioneer, thats all i know, but i never had any probs wit them!!!!!

To be honest mate, u should get alpine, they are same price as dolphin pioneer unit but have spent more money on quality internal components, so less likely to go wrong.

i also got the old top of the range claion for sell for less than that. but u need to have the speakers amped up

sony may look good but how long do you spend looking at your system compared to listening to it. yeah the sony one looks beter but i wouldn't bother with sony. alpine are the mutts nuts

Wayne, I run Clarion as my source unit but to be honest, Alpine is actually better. They've not bought out an all in one unit yet, but its tipped to be the best one of the lot with loads of features.

yeah, dont get the sony one which you wanted! i had that one and within a couple of months of getting it, some cunt nicked it along with my 12" vibe sub and loads more shit! i think it would not have happened if it had a 'face off' but it doesnt if i were you get the kenwood one! trust me, im gettin the other sony one next time! the other which pulls out! bit more £ tho!
