Hi, ive currently got 7.0x17" Fox Evo titanium alloys ET42 with 205/40/17, and I tried a set of 18s today, 7.5x17" with 215/35/18 tyres. They went on the car fine, but it was rubbing on the rears, the plastic arch was being worn away.

Anyone else fitted 18s to a corsa b with standard arches, there are no problems with the 17s, what do i need to do to fit 18s?

PS - please dont say they dont fit - cos im sure they'll go on somehow. lol.

Thanks people, help much appreciated.

well, i tried one, and it did go on the car, but it rubbed the plastic rear arch down just doing 15mph around the ripspeed car park, so I gave it back to them and didnt buy them. I just wanted to know whether its worth getting them and modding the arches, or just stick to some 17s? I just need some people with a corsa b to tell me what they did to get there 18s on....cheers.

Et38, no way.. your gonna want et45 ideally i reckon, usually you are completely removing your arches.... putting one on wont show a true guide!... They will fir, but it's whether it will roll on them
seen a couple of corsas on 18's.. few peeps on here have them so can't see why not, think there one with 19's as well

well, it went around the car park okay, but as i say just doing slow speeds it wore away the edge lip on the rear arch. If it only wears away the plastic i dont mind, but there is metal lip under that, and i dont want to do major arch mods like cutting it or anything, id rather stay safe and stick to 17s. My 17s fit fine lowered 60mm no problem, but they are nearer offset to factory.

my arches r cut away. wheels 7 *17 et 45. coilovers on hard setting. wheel arch bolts out. 2 spring adjusters on each rear spring. no real scrubbing. but its tight. lowered about 70mm rear and about 60mm front. front doesnt scrubb at all. do u think 18s would fit? it would be tight though.

if your having problems or its just on with 17s, then I wouldnt bother with 18s. Im thinking more against them now...
