Yes all RWD cars engines are mounted longitudinal(sp)
How else would it be able to put power to the rear wheels?
Some 4wd cars(escos for example)are also mounted this way.

Not all of them, it just makes sense as the drive is going that way towards the back of the car.

What RWD cars have it mounted transvertical??
Ive never once seen or heard of any RWD cars with it mounted the other way.

Volvo S80 uses a transverse V8 and is 4WD.

I'm not sure about examples of front engined FWD transverse but there may be some. They are certainly rare but I wouldn't rule it out.

do you mean fwd front engined longitudinal, audis have them as the engine is in front of the front wheels.

What was the Alfa Romeo on topgear that Jeremy used in the challenge where they al had to buy an Alfa for under £1k??Was it a 155??
What layout are they as the gearbox is at the rear and the engine is in the front.
