Just had an offer accepted on my first house, just looking into fees now, survey,solicitors fees, stamp duty
Anyone who has been through this care to give a quick overview of what you paid

shouldnt you have maybe had an idea of fee's before making an offer 
Ask you solicitor about fee's
Google stamp duty.
Survey - isnt that covered in a home report (or might be different in England) - if not phone some surveyors.

The cost of them isn't a problem, i was just getting a quick oversight into what to be expecting. i know they cost a lot

Stamp duty level has been increased to 175k so that isn't anythin to worry about

We've got all the figures, the deposit amount, repayments etc all sorted with the bank, its just a matter of getting in there now and getting it signed for. The bank have said we can have the mortgage agreed for by monday morning when we go in

Remember you do pay a lot on your first payment - we paid nearly doubel

Will be finding out the first payment amount when we get in there, but i think this mortgage we are on has a 1000 product fee

Just makesure you ask about one of costs etc before you get the mortgage, you dont want to end up have to pay over £1k's in costs

i know, the mortgage is one of the lend a hand ones from TSB, so parents are putting a bit in a savings account for a few years with them.
But i won't be walking out of the meeting on monday without knowing every penny i have to pay before i go ahead

Well, it looks like it's fallen through, after accepting my asking price offer, and giving me exclusivity for 4 weeks, someone has made a higher offer and it looks like he's going with the other person
