Done. They can't justify charging or banging people up for having their stereo in the garden if they are having a bbq etc.

Maybe impose some guidelines but this is going way too far.

fukkin pracks LONDON IS GETIING SHITTER BY THE DAY!- i think they are going well over board what -they just introduced congestion charges in shite and now they got a hard on for this crap-- not likly to come into effect if you ask me the car audio industrie would sink!!

It was just an example.

Look in the petition though - your gonna need a licence if you want a couple of mates round for a drink in the summer - or a wedding if your gonna play music - its proposterous and an outrage.

aye, key words live and musicians. if you have a cd that is recorded in a studio then it is NOT live music so how can they stop you. it would have to be a ban on ALL music and i hardly see them doing that, then again this is the british government we are talking about.

Suppose if it to stop pub's, partys etc....advertising live music to get more people in, for a increase in profit then they should pay for a license.
I don't agree with it for Private parties and weddings. where theres no proift to be had.

I may of got this all wrong so correct me if i haven't understood.

Is this for real? Surely you could take it to Brussels and fight it there if they tried to pass this legislation. Its an infringement on personal liberty.

Ok - in the live music aspect of it - im in a band and i couldnt play with my own band in my own garden (private property) at my own wedding.

to make the performance of live music licensable in pubs and clubs, in places where alcohol is served, in churches, synagogues, mosques and other places of worship, in schools and colleges, in community centres and village and parish halls, and in private homes and gardens where private parties and weddings may be held
