I still think you might be better off taking your machine work to South Cerney. At least they are only a few miles up the road from you. They know their shit, and it's all done in house.

Little update on parts, Arrow rods are here with ARP 2000 bolts

2013 rebuild has started

Been to pick up my engine bits from SteveBoySlim today...

Work thats been done:

Block decked
Over bored to 87mm
Front pulley, crank, flywheel and clutch cover balanced
New omega pistons
Arrow rods
bearings etc...

Head is to follow shortly spec will be listed then...

Few shots of the block




TTV front pulley



New bearing and seals



Omega pistons




Some lubes for building



Had Nortech make me some inserts as i'm on type 1 engines mounts and there isn't any solid mounts on the market




Empty bay..

loving it

nice idea on the rubber mounts too.. i would of suggested using some cut up exhaust rubbers or the likes of and a load of tigerseal but thats spot on

Little update

First job was to check the piston ring end gaps



Built up the arrow rods and omega pistons then fitted





All built up and fitted in place



I have changed to multi ribbed belt setup this year, bought this cheap...




Change of tyres to Toyo R888, may only use these up and go for AD08's



All built up as far as I can go until head here, shafts in etc




The engine mounts seem alot better

Looks great Dale.

One thing though have you not got the pistons in the wrong way? The larger cutout looks to be at the front and it should be at the back? Could just be a optical illusion though?

Cheers Rick, I now hang my head in shame..... New sump gasket on order already and sump off lol I saw it today... weird they put the writing on the exhaust side so it reads upside down though... keen eyes though lol
