right then ...... ive decided to pull my finger out my arse and start getting the corsa ready for usc. after prepping the engine bay last night while the mrs was in a strop i came out this morning an painted it, this time with a compressor and with proper paint an not with halfords rattle cans like before
after that took all of 10 minutes i decided to start preppin to be painted gloss black. iv painted the inner mud guards (only the parts you'll see)
thats with the plastic primer on believe it or not
iv now started prepping an old arch as a tester for the finish of them in gloss black
before
during
and after
then plastic primered
then with paint
its a good job i used a teater because iv used a 80 grit to take the dimples away then a 150 and thn a 220 to take those scratches away which has left it looking shit if im honest so im not gna use the 80 anymore and im now going to put a coat of gloss black down then flat it with 800 then put another gloss black and laquer down after
im just having a lunch break lol then ill be back to it so more updates later on

Why didnt you just use Hi Build Primer on the arches?? No need to rub the dimples off the plastic then?!

i asked for it mate but they said the only plastic primer you can get is the clear stuff and its only high build because you have to apply several coats
tbh i fought he was blagging me but fuck it its done now

you still need to rub them down if using high build, once rubbed down wack on a coat or 2 of the clear plastic primer and then a good few coats of high build

my stuff came out like yours mate shit quality, i got it smooth but you can tell the prep work was half arsed haha but i suppose it match's the rest of the paint work now

done some more painting today.......
ive made my new smoothed scuttle which is a standard scuttle filled and smoothed which ive now painted gloss black and im going to put some red and white camo vinyl on it. ive also painted my lower splitter and preped my roof rails and passenger front arch ready for paint tomorrow
all thats left now is rear bumper and rear arches and mudflaps
finish on the lower splitter considering its going to get fucked up pmsl
finish on the scuttle

right then its time for an update........and the update is nothing lol
i havnt had any wheels to put on the front to pull the car out the garage to take the back bumper and arches off so i got bored one day after looking at my moms car lol
it looked abit high and the wheels looked shit soooooooo the work began lol
so i after 5 mins on the bay i found some 40mm springs and shocks and after an offer of 30 quid was accepted i went on a 20 minute mission into town and piked them up
and after i lowered it i thought i would be rude not to paint the wheels gloss black, espeacially as i have the compressor and some spare gloss black paint from my arches
and after a wash tcut and a wax the result was
iv also put a de-cat pipe on it that i had lying around after buying the wrong one for my punto turbo but sssssssshhhhhhhhh. me mother doesnt know that part
after this i sourced some wheels and got my car out the garage and took the bumpers and arches off so it should be fitted back up on the weekend with its new gloss black clothes mmmmm
(and to take the scuttle off that now belongs to euurocorsa)

youre having a laugh mate....i was meant to collect them on saturday and i went to get them and there chopped in half on the floor.
as you can imagine i want impressed and the excuse was "we didnt know what size you wanted them"

mateiv got LOADS of updates but i havnt got the lead for my fone to my comp so i cnt put the pics up.......................im gna try my best to get 1 2moz
but basically ive got my banded steels now with 8j rears an 7.5j fronts.
ther in gloss black and the camo will be done within the next few days
the roof rails are now smooth and gloss black
the mirrors base plates are now gloss black with red and whit camo on
the scuttle is now gloss black with red and white camo on
all the bumper tops, arches, and mudflaps are now gloss black
and my pistons and my new mahle rings have arrived today so it shall be running by the weekend
i will try and get the pics up by tomoz so stay tuned lol
