Can i still display the date even though i have a aftermarket stereo? Im sure ive heard of this being done before by cutting a wire or something? Does anyone know?

usually when you have an aftermarket radio it just displays the date anyway?

i think and don't quote me but i think you swap the yellow and red wires over.

My MFD still displays the time and date with a pioneer head unit, just didnt connect that connectorinto the cd player (because you can't) and it comes up. Worked for me anyway. I just left the spare connector loose.

thats to make them come on with the key, instead of staying on all the time and to store radio stations and settings etc

On mine when the stereo was off the date was dispalayed but when power was on it was a blank screen, think thats what he means

its the grey and red wires! - cut it and now i have the date

its a grey wire with a red stripe, not the red and grey 'wires' lol... was in a rush.

I'd stick a bit of tape over that pin instead of cutting the wire.
