If you haven't read the beginning of my WIP my c20xe loom caught fire and so i set out and bought a LET to fill the gap.
Well anyway i started with the removal and christ what a crap job lol

So far i've taken off:
-front bumper
-bumper bar
-headlights.
just to make things easier, and in the bay i have removed.
-battery
-fan
-radiator
-header tank and hoses
-loom

all to find that after buying a new engine and loom thinking that the previous engine loom was fooked it turns out it's the Corsa's loom thats burnt, not the engine loom. so was all un-necessary. FAIL. Oh well, got a turbo now so not bothered.

Few pics

Cheers to my buddy below for a helping hand.

Current state (note the state of the oil cooler )

Ever started a job and half way through changed your mind and wished you hadn't lol

Some pics of the carnage.

This is what i think started the fire. The guy/bellend who did the original wiring hadn't poked this wire (which is in fact 3 core house cable) through the grommet and has slowly been cutting into the bulkhead as seen in the pic

I'm going to leave this in the car as a reminder of what had happened lol

More pics after tomorows session depending on the weather

Not much to report, just the usual welding and strenghtening in preperation for the respray, lost the rear seat mounts and cut out the battery tray. Seam welded the engine bay, just a couple of naggly bits before paint time. It's a slow and painstaking process because my knowledge is limited and the guy helping me build the car has paying customers cars to work on which means mine isn't a priority but we'll get there eventually.

Couple of purchases

Chris Astley Chassis strenghtening Kit (probably wouldn't have bought this if I knew what it was lol)

Inner wing panels so I can remove the crappy shitguards and still keep the shit out the bay

Carbon (*cough* affect *cough*) Battery box for the battery re-location

Polished Fuel rail and Polished V6 throttlebody for the inlet plenum
