3 weeks later and finally feels like we are getting somewhere!

Both bedrooms are done, just need to get flooring in our main bedroom, and I'm really happy with how the wallpaper looks, better than I was hoping for! Not everyones choice but i finally chose after hours in the shop

Hall is getting done this week, bathrooms on a hold until wall tiles come.

All wood will be white and the other half is doing a top job with it all!

Excuse dodgy pics, half with flash half without!

Main Bedroom..

Spare bedroom...

Hallway....

Bathroom...

Meh, I'd love a project like that for my first house.

I learning curve for DIY and a blank canvus to do what ever you want to do.

And I'd want a big garage in that garden

soooo fulfilling when you see rooms come together and your house taking shape.

I bought mine nearly 4 years ago, did our bedroom and bathroom then moved in. did one room at a time starting from top working down. work full time n uni part time so only really had weekends at it. hence why it's taken so long

almost all done now, just need to finish kitchen flooring.

Well done for your hard work, trust me you will feel a massive sense of achievement in a few months sitting on your sofa in a beautiful house knowing that you have done everything in your house exactly how you want it.

As for the garden, don't worry about it - not that bad at all.
Mine was an 80 foot long jungle, hired in a mini digger for the day to clear it all, some top soil to level it out then turf the fucka

Spot on

Love the stairrails. Just had a conversion block of flats released which have kept that from the original building. They have stained it a darker colour and it looks brilliant.

Is the ceiling magnolia?

Hows the progress coming along guys?

imo you should sand the staircase back and varnish it or stain it. Looks a lot fresher, and would look good against the white of the walls.

No chance, still at my parents. I've never left them so will be a shock to the system, gonna have to do my own washing

Were in a lucky situation where there is no rush to get in, it basically when the works finished we'll get moved in.

Can't wait though!

Had a bit of a break the last couple of weeks, as it's been mega tiring.

Bathroom will be finished this week though, and then the hall.

It's not a highly sought after area and is known for certain notorious streets, but where we are is the nicest bit.

Hence the low price. We could have had a nicer area but a smaller flat with no offstreet parking etc etc. It's all about comprimise at the end of the day.

However other houses in the street are on market at 78k plus.

It's nice to know.
