Valves are a touch bigger on the c2 head

intrenals are the same but apprently not as strong, like the c20xe and x20xe

Yeh, the valves are a bit bigger, but the cams less wild too iirc. Which is why most people fit gti cams, lifters etc. (or aftermarket)

ah right. Thought it might just be because you wanted to use a nice low miles unit.

Have to let us know what the power delivery is like on the ph3's as I am thinking about camming mine

I have just got back from the r/r

it made:
153.2 bhp
119.7 ft lb

i have got abit of an issue with valve clearances. I need to fit a headgasket off a tu5j4 its abit thicker and will give me the clearance to go abit more on the timing

Bit gutted really as he said i was making good torque around the 150 mark but it was just to close for comfort if the valves floated, i think next maybe change the headgasket and go again or stick some tb's on and do the lot at once

but its still good power for a bean can, it drives alot better now than it did before it went in

Meh, they're just figures... it will deliver the power much better with them set up properly now. Tbf, on a true RR 153 is pretty decent for the spec.

Not sure, 825kg as standard, 16v is bound to be heavier, wheels etc. Probably weighs about 900-ish.
