They're wrong, the 1000D is the best choice out of them.

R k photographic.. Google brings up their website..

But the guy I work with, his gf deals with them.. He spoke to her as I said all you guys said the canon and said that straight away they said the nikkon was more professional

Yeah, they get better commition on Nikons than Canons

Nikon is that more professional that anywhere you see photographers they have white L lenses on their canons, that's the opposite end of the spectrum though.

nikon "feel" more proffesional in the hand, If I was buying cheap Id go Canon, If I was spending a few £ Id go Nikon, Just My Preference

See how much you can get a 2nd hand Nikon D70 for, Johnny J may still have his up for sale

JonnyJs D70 would be a good deal.

As for Nikon being more professional than Canon - you'd be stuck to find any difference much between them. Both perfectly good for pro/non-pro use.
