time for a coat of shiney stuff

being quite asthmatic, this was required. plus it looks cool as fuck. never get tired of luke, im your father star wars jokes. never........

looks quite shiney in real life. dunno how the pics have come out really init.

un-masked ready to begin work on putting it back together tomorrow. going to have to be gentle to let the laquer dry as it supposed to take 10 hours at 20 degrees so perhaps 6 weeks at 2 degrees.

will try get dashboard to fit, swirl tank and fuel pump mounted and other associated stuff done. might leave the fuel lines will the paint etc has dried properly as being steel outer braided may mark it.

quite happy though for a quick splash of paint. its no show and shine car, but atleast it will look 50% the part aswell as the other stuff it does.

thanks.

i think whats best about this car is it isn't just a pipeline dream thats sits around incomplete for year after year.

all you need is to weld an engine mount or two on the rear cage and call it twin engine, that''ll get lots of points.

i know this might sound stooopid

but will the cage not make it slower in a straight line being heavier than it was before or are you going to be going to be going round corner fast now

call me stupid but im having one of them days today

well it weighs maybe 30-40kg more with cage in. But the actual strength in the shell is a lot more. Wont twist or flex anywhere near as much so it may actually grip better possibly.

well air bag failed last time so had another go.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nJ-TzfMRxVA

madness to think that something exploding in your face can save your life in a crash.

it aint too bad for a ghetto paint job id say. happy enough for the inside of a car.

will work grand that indeed.

butcher some plastic

stop for some food. chips. banger and curry sauce. it honestly tasted a lot better than it looks.

modify a fuse box cover to fit better.

may notice i gave in to peer pressure and have reverted back to the std steering wheel. the multi coloured one sadly is not going back on. suppose it could be called a scene mod so im glad its gone.

next up is to sort out the wiring thats in the passenger footwell. specifically the clifford alarm wiring. as its a fuckin disgrace. then put glovebox in and run wiring to back of car. then fuel lines, then mapping, then mot and taxed hopefully at end of month.

thanks.
