If you were on the back seat and the keys were outside the car i'd think that would be ok.

From the other drink driving thread though the coppers would probably put down you were trying to speed off at the time they seen you.

I wouldnt do it.

I went clubbing once and the designted drver decided to have a drink. We thought it would be a good idea to sleep it off in the car.

Went to drive off at roughly 12 the follwing afternoon and the moment we left the car park the coppers pulled us over. They had been watching us for ages. In the end my mate ended up with a year ban and had to do a rehabilitated driving test after.

dont leave the keys in the igntion

put them in the glove box or under the seat, park in a private car park,

then they cant try and do you for attempting drink driving, or anything else the cunts will try

Yes they can because the keys are within the vehicle, simplest way is not to have the keys at all, but do you really want to be locked inside your own car?
What if you need a wee lol

Im pretty sure they can do you even if your inside the car with the keys in your pocket.

I fell asleep in my car once (read passed out) at a house party & apparently when the police came round to complain about the noise, the only reason I never got done was because the car was on the drive & the keys were in the house. Other than that I was slumped over the back seat with a case of tennents as a pillow. Think luck was on my side that night/morning.

Put the key ontop of the drivers side tyre, and manually lock the car from the inside. That way you havnt got a key in the car with you. Thus... not being banned.

placing the keys away from the ignition barrel does not wash.

Still in the car, if he's searched by the police. You'll still be banned from driving.

break in someone elses car and sleep in that, they wont be arsed to take fingerprints or attempt to catch you because they will be too busy looking for much more dangerous criminals sleeping in their own cars with their keys in their pockets
