You could attempt to place the keys in the glove box and sleep in the back but it would still be hard to explain it.

if the keys are within the vacinity of the car, ie within your realm of getting them quickly, then they can arrest you on suspicion of attempted drink driving.

as said before, pull some bird and sleep hers!

Hide them well inside the car? Just make sure they cant find them unless they start physically taking the car to bits. Pull the interior light out and stuff them in there.

If you've got the keys you can be done for it.

A girl I used to work with got done once. She'd drove but decided to get a taxi home, nipped back to her car to get her coat, Police seen her stumbling towards her car so went over and booked her.

I think it's just considered being drunk and in charge of a motor vehicle. Whether you try to drive it or not so having the keys and being in or around the car is really enough.

Only way to be safe is to give someone else your keys and get them to open your car (if you need to use the key) but then they're as vunerable to it as you, unless they're sober obviously.

Other than that, are you real? Sleeping in your car tonight, without heaters?

I beg to Differ, back shelf in the front seats, back seats fully flat, duvet on the floor to make it padded, then a sleeping bag to sleep in and 2 pillows perfect nights sleep, or maybe it was the help of the 1ltr bottle of vodak I had

On 2nd thoughts you were in no position to set all that up

My mate phil...

His mum was banned from driving for a few months for going in her car to get her coat, whilst been over the limit. (She got coat from car, so she wouldnt be cold whilst waiting for a taxi.)

Now that is fucking stupid.

cant beleive in this day and age you can be done fordrink driving with no evidence of you actually driving it.

Fucking pathetic tbh. God knows how many burglaries there where whilst they camp out waiting for poor fuckers to sleep in their cars (rather than risk the drive home i might add!) then nick them because they are too inept or lazy to catc ha real criminal.

Makes my blood boil that does.
