Showing your age if you started with a colour screen

This one didn't even send texts.

Also have one of these that I did throw my SIM in a little ago. Cool phone and but it doesn't have Bluetooth so it don't work with my car kit. Otherwise I would be using it.

i bet most people on here never had to arrange nights out etc, generally survive being 16/17/18 when no one had mobile phones, ringing mates houses only to be told by their mums or dads that they were out and trying to find everyone

That thing there, second on the left

I had that, was awful and totally pointless at the time as nobody else had mobile phones.

I loved my Ericsson I had, the one where you could switch the hoop on the aerial and the keypad, being the silly sod I am I left it on the back of my moped and pulled away and it smashed to bits. Those were the days when text messages were free!

All I remember about phones when I was at school is being annoyed that everyone else was getting well expensive ones on contracts their parents paid for and I had crap PAYG ones!

Not strictly true, you could consult the little book of numbers found in the draw near the phone, flick through the a-z without any luck until you had realised you had put them down as their nickname.

The joys, I was on about this the otherday at work. Having to walk around school and hope you bumped into the person you was looking for. Kids today, don't know they are born.

i left school in 1994 so i dont think anybody i know had a mobile then, i think the 1st mate of mine to get one was in 1995, i didnt get one until 1999 a massive motorola thing.

imagine a world without the internet and mobile phones, then being a fresh faced youth in that world ringing my girlfriend at the time up and always having to have a chat with her mum or dad 1st as i had to ring their house phone

First phone was a Sagem. No idea what it was called but was pointless having it as no one else had them and at the time i must of been 12/13

Then went onto a Nokia 3310

Then a Samsung A300

Nokia 8310 for a while

Nokia 7210

SE T300 that looked like a bar of soap

samsung D500

Samsung E900

SE K810

Current one - Samsung Omnia

The samsung phones have been the best out of the lot. I know i missed a few out though.

Good topic this

Started out with this BT Cellnet thing in my early teens, can't find a better pic.

Then moved to this, which I loved, nokia 6150..

Then the Nokia 7110, had a flashy spring loaded button cover and cool scroll wheel instead of up/down keys:

Then had a Sagem myx-5, first colour screen for me:

Sony Ericsson T610 (paid for with work experience money - year 10).. quite possibly my favourite phone I've ever had - ahead of it's time with bluetooth, no-one else had it for months! My first camera phone too.

Nokia 6230

Nokia 7610 - first dabble with Symbian os

Sony Ericsson w900i - a chunky mother of a phone, looked cool though.

Sony Ericsson k800i x2 (The first fell in a pint)

Nokia n95

My current: Nokia n78 - has all the best features of the n95 in a sexy smaller body - I like.

It's amazing/quite ridiculous how many phones I've been through and I'm only 20 Hoping to get a Sony Ericsson Xperia X1 or a Nokia n97 when my contract expires in April, but who knows.

UPDATE:

So after the n78 I moved onto the HTC Touch HD - before HTC were the massive force they are today:

Didn't really get along with that and luckily managed to get out of my contract after half a year. Allowing me to move onto... the Palm Pre! Loved this phone and would have stayed with it much longer if it wasn't for the shite build quality, wobbly as fook.

2 months after the Pre I switched to an Apple iPhone 3GS:

Followed just under a year later by the HTC Desire HD
