ah ha, thought my ears were burning, good old linkbacks
cheers for the comments though, finally back on the road after a long lay off getting the gearbox sorted, which is a 6 speed dog box built by hewland for the vectra challenge series with theri f3 plate diff, engine as said is an 1800 small block, custom rods, pistons, cams and valvetrain via martin bowyer, simsons race exhaust, dry sump and a few bits more

yeah, probably, he did have a bit of a look over his shoulder
didnt have the practise headsets on for once, wanted to hear how loud the new box is, and its actually quieter, which is slightly disappointing

it bloody is too!  might be the gear oil i run though, if you want the part number let me know(although i'm guessing like me you dont really care for quiet)
