God its a ugly ugly car. Doubt the performance will be anything special either. But because its a Ford, with a RS badge it will be the best car of the century

I really to hope its worth all the hype though, as i love all the old RS fords right . But feel they are just ruining the legendary name now and are going to start dragging it through the mud.

it's a comfortable daily drive motorway cruiser back road nutter etc with fwd. it still has a radio and all the other luxuries you'd expect in a modern car. i'd expect it to be a great drive.

I think it looks alright, no worse than any other modern hatchbacks. Theres no way anyone can say the VXR or R26R is a supermodel within the car world!?

The road test on monday will be what keeps the dream alive or burries it for me!!

I'm biased-I love RS's and obviously because I own an FRS. But I do have to disagree with your statement there. Check out this thread here and you'll see you're so wrong! http://bbs.rsownersclub.co.uk/showthread.php?t=196433

Also you state about the legendary name beingdragged through the mud, how so? Bit like vauxhall making any model and sticking a vxr badge on it to try and give it a bit more credential tbh *just my opinion* I mean vauxhall meriva, zafira vxr wtf.

The green is traditional. I was chatting to Jost Capito at the press preview unveiling in July and the electric green is based on the mk2 escort rs mexico (I think- well July was a fair few months ago now! :lo

I've got to admit, they do look stunning in blue.
White is still my favourite, but blue is really growing on me.

Blues probably the safe option. It looks nice & i'll probably still like it further down the line which is important as i'd be paying it off over 3/4yrs.

White & Green grab your attention more..........I just cant decide if this is a good thing & i'd be able to tolerate the colour of choice.

Cant wait for Monday, if JP loves it I think I might be smitten again & try & track down a car/cancellation or whatever. I was told by my usless dealer last couple of weeks ago if I ordered one now (then) it would be for Q3/4 delivery!!

The thing thats frustrating me most about the wait in getting the car is, when my dad gets is, he's not driving it home so i won't be able to get a run in. It'll probably be a week a two after till he drives it

My dad has will-power though. Plus he wants to get it detailed by my brother and armourfended before he drives it anywhere.

Suppose it will be worth doing the one over before it hits the roads!! Have you found another set of alloys for it yet?

Nope. My dad doesn't seem interested in looking just now.

He really liked the look of those comp motives, but he hasn't mentioned wheels again.
He doesn't seem bothered about the car just now. He hasn't even phoned Arnold clark to find out the new delivery date.
I seem to be doing more work and finding things out for him
