they use fluid dynamics ie air flow over the car and under the car in f1 they also know they need a non turbulent positive pressure going into the airbox entrance the hole you see above the drivers head this is the ram air effect

yup, you need to know this when tuning in any form, fluid dynamics starts at the front of the car and finishes at the rear of the car

Total waste of time, First of all the only sensor that will let the ECU know that more air is going in than normal is the lambda sensor and when its in closed loop mode this automatically adjusts the fuelling as you drive regardless of if you have disconnected the battery

But when your at full throttle the lambda is ignored anyway so even if the ECU was designed to learn after some numpty disconnected the battery, it would have no idea that more air than normal is going in. It will just run from its pre programed open loop map

ok u wot a 1.6cam 1.6inlet manifold 1.6 injector and a 1.8throttle body 1.4 ecu is all good 2 use
i did this set up on my 1.4

cool its getting done over christmas , may run carbs but i dont think i could fuel it with it being my daily car .

0 - 73 percent throttle is closed loop running then 73 percent to wot is open loop, engine tuners tune in open loop running mode, the ecu takes information from the map sensor as well
