F13CR would be fine, trust me.

You can remove the hydraulic parts, but it's easier to start with a gearbox which already has cable operation.

Also, you can get one for about 30 quid, if it shits itself, buy another....

I bet you can't get an F17 that cheap.

Think warren would have offered you a conversion with the x18xe1 engine. This aint out of the corsa c.

Also you said about a Ka running a 1.8 with 1.3 box. Is it a marroon colour with wide ford racing kit by any chance? if so that was built by a mate of mine and he had a bit of trouble using the 1.3 box.

pmsl at the lack of knowledge on the 1.8 engine, lee303 off mig, has built a pretty amazing 1.8, which has so much more torque than a 1.6, but with similar weight, best of both worlds

it must have been a sccr, what does the sc in the sccr stand for, and would the gearing in the f15 cr and the f13 cr be the same?

Can I just throw something into the mix.. The Corsa C box is identical to the Corsa B on the outside, the only difference is the hydraulic release bearing (which is easy to convert as all the holes/pivots are still in the box) and the lack of manual speedo drive.. There is metal plug in the drive hole which can be removed but there is no drive on the diff so you'ed have to use a diff from an earlier box unless you can retro fit the speedo drive.

Also I think someone above mentioned the corsa C is a cable box, it is not.

i've got x18xe1 in my astra and i'm sure i read somewhere its only 115bhp whereas the z18xe is 123? but apparantly on the road the power difference isnt noticeable.
