i recently stripped my c20xe corsa as was getting pissed off with it and then got a gsi rolling shell to commence work on but started getting pissed off spending loads on a corsa. and mates saying its only a corsa(they dont understand)lol
some of you will know that i have recently bought a mk3 golf gti which is mint and a cracking drive. but i miss the aggression of the corsa that the golf just doesnt have
should i finish my project? buy a c20xe corsa ready done or maybe get the extra cash and get a let?

From experience.
Sell the corsa
Sell the golf
Get something more aimed at what your after. Want a track type car, look at Integra Type Rs etc.. What a straightline hooligan car, look at Supras and Skylines..
Corsas are fun, even with a bigger engine, but as your mates say, its just a corsa, and they arn't that strong, most are starting to rot, and theres always that image of going out and when asked what car you drive, you go red and muffle "a vauxhall corsa"
Watch the girl walk off.....
Get something better, faster, and a better handler to start with, then just improve that.
From experience and my opinion.
I'd far rather hoon the VXR as standard round a race track, than a £10k stripped out XE/LET corsa....
(But then again, i'd far rather be hanging off the side of a £5k motorcycle ) Much more fun.

Same question but an XE corsa that cost £2k? I'd have more fun in a car I wasn't that involved with (financially) than a pocket rocket track corsa tbh.

Yup, but im not taking into terms the finances of the VXR.
Im talking about the overall drive. Sure the corsa will be quicker down the straights (LET), but it won't get round the bends as well.
And £10k will get you a much better handling car than a £2k corsa. Hell you can spend £5k just on the suspension, £6k on a straight cut box, boom £11k gone.......
What i mean is, although the experience is fun, if your after real performance, you need a better platform to begin with in the first place.
Also, i can still go to the shops in the standard better car, without needing ear defenders and a new spine en route.
If we're talking cheap pocket rockets, theres still better platforms to go for. Vauxhalls are mainly good becuase the ease of conversions and engines. But a 205 will always outhandle a nova/corsa. Or a Civic VTect (1.6 160 version), or even a Clio Sport or something.

See what you're saying. Personally though I like my mk5 golf for a daily drive/hack to the shops/throwing engines in and my balls out corsa for the track.
Yes i know my budget has gone over £2k but its only just touched £5k (including the cost of the original car), and I know if I damaged/break something at a track that I don't have to worry about rushing to repair it as the golf is always there to get me to work etc.
I don't think there's many people (unless unlimited incomes) that have a daily drive AND track car all in one.

Yeah you got two cars though. See im poor now cos i've got a house so haven't even got one car to myself.
If your gonna track, you really do need two cars. But if your a, (what i like to call) Straightliner, you can make do with one.
