The only reason the iphone was so big is because it's apple and people love apple.

Nokia is the best manufacturer going and crammed loads of features into the N95 making it popular.

Gimmicks from vodafone will not be enough to make it a hit.

If it's vodafone only it'll be a big risk, that's different from apple being one network only.

They sell the most phones mainly.

Certianly isn't SE who were 95% down on profits from the same time last year.

You either have current voda customers who want to upgrade, or new customers, in which case the phone and/or contract deal have to be good enough to pull people away from say the iphone.

Voda have the iphone in other countries, will this new phone steal that custom?

Do they have the highest return percentage or rate?

If they sell more there will obvioulsy be more coming back.

On that note though, i'm just about to phone o2 for my brother because his n95 is away for the 4th time.

My E51 however is a brilliant phone that i've not had one problem with, you need to expect some faults.

Sorry I see what you mean

Well we only sell the iPhone in 10 markets atm... mostly fairly obscure markets, none of the key ones (UK, Germany, France, Italy, Spain or US) IIRC so I guess thats a question for the future

no. the iphone was launched across vodafones estates in countries where 2g isnt that strong-this new phone is being launched only in countries where the 3g is very good.

percentage, based on sales. so in one respect its good they sell so many, but the more they sell the more that fail.

I'm not disagreeing with that, but is the percentage of returns vs sales much worse than any other manufacturer?

it only seems higher because of how much they do sell, so really it makes it worse than what it is.

for every 10 nokia sell, 3 come back.
for every 10 se sold, 2 come back, but the volume of sales makes nokia seem worse tbf
