I can gaurantee there will be information about this "so called" phone on the net, there big phone review sites get the beta versions to trial out far before any 3rd party companys do, Nokia, samsung and sony all use the same sites to trial there phones with.
Oct 1st is the release date for the N96, but tbh thats nothing special, the big one going around the grape vine at the momment is the project called the Nokia "Tube"
But the first version will just be a benchmark version, the products to follow it will be the ones to look out for.

hmmm actually ive found a good tarriff on voda online with a free omnia, is this new phone gonna be worth my consideration? bearing in mind i want an omnia or similar?

i fully understand what you are saying, the original mention of it was because somebody asked about a new nano phone-i merely adviced something else coming out that may appeal a LOT more.

seriously its a completely different league, the things it can do is scary. it has every function of every mobile device out there, and loads more to it.
seriously, the moment the tv adverts hit, we will be battered by people wanting this.
