Its just a plate to stop your heel wearing through the anti slip stuff on the floor.

I bought this car last December with the intention of using it as my track car. I have since down a day at Oulton Park in January in it, Bedford Autodrome in Febuary, Castle Comb Action day in April and it then made 2 trips to Europe to the Nurburgring in May and again At the beginning of July. Unfortunately on the May trip the 2k old clutch failed on the motorway in Belgium so the car was recovered to the UK by the AA and was repaired under warrenty and the clutch was replaced by Helix.
The car is in fantastic working order and has wanted for nothing during my ownership. I have tried to steadily develop the car over time to try and bring it to the next level. I have placed stars next to all the components that I have fitted since I bought the car in December.
During its track outings this car has been fantastic and on its recent trip to the Nurburgring it embarrassed several far more expensive cars.
Everyone that has been out on circuit in the car has commented on it being like a go-kart. The handling is fantastic and it drives superb.
Engine & Box
Engine has done 84,500 miles.
Supersprint Exhaust manifold (heat wrapped)
Pugsport Sports Catted sytem, the car passed the MOT with this fitted in June with no issues at all.
Simota enclosed air box.
Oil catch can.
Uprated Sytec fuel pump in tank.
I think it has had a cam fitted at some point.
The engine made 131bhp at the fly on Chipwizards rollers last December.
Transmission
VTS box, new Helix clutch (organic plate, fitted less than 2k ago).
Compbrake quickshift.
GE quickshift
Extended lever with Qauife M12 gearknob.
Suspension
Gaz coilovers with adjustable damping all round.
Upper strut brace on front
Full Powerflex bushes.
Ralley Design Alloy top mounts.
Manual Steering
Brakes
Front, brand new disc and EBC green pads.
Rear, 4k old discs and ferodo pads.
All lines are braided from the MC and run inside the car along the exhaust tunnel with bias valve next to driver (similair to Lewis’s setup).
Interior
Sparco 8 point bolt in cage.
x2 Cobra Suzuka standard width. Rails welded to floor.
x2 Sparco Harnes'es, drivers has 5&6 crotch strap, both are 3'' shoulder strap, but passenger is 2'' lap, driver is 3'' lap as well.
Sparco 383 Suede wheel.
Steering coloum lowered.
CBC Flocked dash.
All electrical lines run down passenger side of car and are wrapped in proper wiring overbraid with shrink sleaves at the joins (like on Lewis's Saxo).
Carbon covers on everything!!
Carbon door cards, front and rear. Front have red pull handles.
I replaced all the steel bolts on the door cards with gold anodized alloy bolts.
Fuel lines run down drivers side and fuel filter is behind driver.
Door bins are still in the doors, and window winders miss the cage.
Cage has Carbon protectors on the door bars.
Toad full closure Cat 1 Alarm with remote central locking, noise detection, bonnett switch etc.
Helmet net.
All interior painted Indigo Blue, inc roof etc.
To start the car you need the key in the ignition and turned to the stop, then turn on the 1st switch from the left, this arms the ignition and the fuel pump, the push the button to start. The right hand toggle switch operates the heater fan.
Wheels
S2 Steels with an almost new pair of Yokohama A048’s on the front, and a set of heavily worn (barley legal) A032 tyres on the rear.
The car will also come with a spare S2 steel with a brand new tyre fitted.
Other Bits
I had it Mot'd in June (runs out 13/06/09) and i have just put 6 months tax (runs out 11/08) on it.
It has a massive folder of receipts, MOT's and old tax discs.
In the last 3 months the car has had the following parts fitted brand new.
Oil & Filter, Gearbox oil, Gear linkages, Helix clutch kit (£340 alone!!!), top & bottom water hoses, coolant (x2), front discs & pads, rocker cover gasket, hub nuts, clutch cable, wheel bolts and throttle cable.
This car is probably one of the best S2 106 Rallye’s in the country and has been built and maintained to the highest of standards. I am hoping that the new owner will be able to continue the high standard of care and maintance that this car has received.
This car could quite easily be turned into a stock hatch racer!!
If you want to know any more then let me know.
