Well ive been a member on here a while now and never done a project thread so here goes…..

My corsa started out as a 500pound buy from someone as 2 prev owners fsh etc etc…

I decided to start modifying the car, I was new to all this at the time so please forgive me…….

I bought some lowering springs and a magnex backbox for it, so I could get it looking half decent, I then bought some speedlines from starky for a bargain price…

Next came the m3 mirrors, depo front headlights and some lexus tail lights……….
Before I knew it I was at pvs 2006 this is how it looked back then

Then I got the car home after pvs and tried to sort out the engine bay and add a bit of colour etc

Bought some samco hoses and a promotasport water bottle and a pipercross induction kit

Then came a strut brace

I then took a few pix outside my house

I started to get bored of the power at this point so I bought a nitrous kit of the good old ebay got it for a very nice price

But even after nitrous I was still bored with the power, so I contact mr beard about a turbo conversion…..

So I started buying things for the conversion……
New intercooler

Chrome inlet manifold and fuel rail

Chrome heat shield

I then purchased some front mounts and had them powder coated in white

Thought it be best if I bought some gauges to make sure everything was running correctly

I then contacted chris astley for some new heavy duty hubs and some ARP bolts

I then purchased some spax rsx coilovers for a bargain price

I then bought a 2nd hand cambelt cover and had that powder coated white to match the rest I had done

Then most importantly I bought and engine from a lad in kent who kindly did a 350 mile round trip to deliver it me
Was a standard engine and was missing a few bits, but for 500quid what can I say bargain

So 1 last pic all clean before I take it to beardys for my long awaited conversion

So after a week at beardys I told him to cut the front bumper to fit the fmic and then I received a picture on my phone

I then got the car back home and started straight away to change things over, this
Is how it looked once I had changed the rocker cover to a freshly painted white one…

Then I adjusted the spax coilovers slightly to get them how I wanted them sitting for ride height and comfort

Then I tried to get it down the entry, didn’t quite go to plan though, a little too low I think

I then bought a load of hoses from roose motorsport and chris astley to brighten things up a little, also fitted my new strut brace

I then finally got it mot’d and taxed just after pvs 2007 GUTTED I missed that one,
I finally got to drive it,
BUT
Only 38 miles in to my drive BANG

Turns out that the new clutch I had fitted didn’t turn out to be that good……
The clutch had ripped off the flywheel and gone through my gear
box

Nice big hole there in my gearbox I see

Flywheel got a bit warm I think, too the point of warping anyway

SO STRIPPED HER DOWN WE DID

Then came a new 450pound 4 paddle clutch from SBD motorsport

Also came a new f20 complete with quaife diff

Then thought I best get some good brakess so, I opted for wildwood 4 pots

Got her back together after a few hours

All has been well since then and this is what the engine looked like when I finished playing

Then came an oil pump situation which resulted in 2 new oil pumps, so I decided to get the bottom
End re-built, that cost me 3grand and consisted of
C20let engine conversion, custom intercooler, 3" straight through custom exhaust, Steel +.1mm headgasket, low comp pistons, steel rods, modified oil squirters, ARP rod bolts ,polished and balanced crank, modified bearing shells, uprated oil pump, bottom end fully lightened and balanced

Took a picture from my upstairs window of how she looks now

I also bought a pair of vented wings only got round to fitting the drivers one so far

Then we attended pvs 2008 where we met plenty of new faces, such as shaun mods, tom willy, corsagsi16vplym, to name a few.
I managed to get the car on the stand and it looked like this

After pvs
I then went to visit luke d, fruitbooter, little duke and carabic dan in telford

I also found a bargain pair of cobra Daytona seats in cream leather and red piping with Vauxhall logo embroided in it.

They have yet to be fitted but I will keep you all updated as I have a small list below of work that will be going on very very soon

Full respray, semi smooth boot, new front lights, new sideskirts, don’t want give too much away but will look completely different come October if all goes wee

Well I hope you enjoy reading as it took me ages to type this up….

JUST LIKE A MASSIVE SHOUT OUT TO GAZZA ROBERTS…. TOP BLOKE COULDN’T HAVE DONE IT WITHOUT YOU…… PMSL
