I have a 2000 X14XE Corsa B.
Any ideas how many spark plugs it has? And if replacing do i need to replace anything else with them i.e wiring etc.
Also any reccomendations of brands or good spark plugs?
I know that NGK, Denso and Bosch all make plugs that are appropriate.

Any comments appreciated

Jay

it has 4 spark plugs, buy bosch or NGK. make sure you dont over tighten them when you put them back in.

not really, keep the plug leads in order so that they dont get mixed up, check the condition of the plugs that you remove.

just make sure copper grease does not get anywhere near the tip of the plug or into the cylinder, its one way to kill an engine as copper heats up quickly and can cause pre-ignition.

use WD40 on the threads if anything or a light smear of a non metalic grease.

WD40

that will last all of 10 seconds lol
copper ease is the correct item to use as it has alot higher tollerence to heat than most other products,
but try not to cover the electrodes as mentioned above

Nearly all these engines have a leak on the rocker cover gasket anyway so the threads get nicely lubricated when you take the plugs out!

Seriously though Ive never felt the need to lubricate them, they arent done up that tight really. Guess its personal preferance though

Ideally you should use that black stuff you use on lambda sensor threads. Forget what its called though

Don't worry about that though mate, not needed
