Ditch the car then. If you dont earn much why have a golf? You know they arent cheap cars, being on of the most expensive in their class. Sell it buy a cheaper car so they will give you a few grand. Get an old Derv astra cheap cheap cheap

The world would come to a stand still. There is nothing we can do. If we kidnapp gordan brown and rape him up the arse with a aliminum baseball bat and a 660ml stella bottle.....it still wouldnt change. Its one, if not the biggest easiest form of income for the gouv!

True, but it's a rotary engine.

The government know that there's nothing that we can do so will charge us what they like. It's incredible that they put so much tax on it though. In the US they pay less than half what we do, all because of tax. Mostly because of tax, at least, seeing as there's been oil price increase and whatnot.

Topped up £40 in diesel today, and i remember 6 months ago, that was about 42 litres. Today, that £40 got me about 31 litres. Thats 10 litres that equates to 120 miles in my tank

Exactly mate, spot on.

Forgot to mention earlier that I paid £108.9/l to fill up last week, and diesel is about £1.20/l around here.

That's fair enough mate, but if the price goes up, then you'll get less fuel for your £20, which means that you'll then be topping up more often.

When I left school 4 years ago it was at 79p a litre. If I had been driving since then I would be extremely pissed off. I just get on with it and pay the price because otherwise I'm walking.

The papers just help the government out by being the doom-mongers on their behalf. By the time it comes in people are resigned to it.

Credit crunch, fuel prices, house prices, all media stink that magically comes true because people go along with it.

The sad thing is that revolt doesn't happen unless things get really bad and they haven't yet.

Costs me £65 a week now, seriously looking at my options because its becoming hard to justify the expense especially as there is no sign of the inflated prices stopping

Sick of hearing about this 2p increase in October thats now being reconsidered, tbh what difference does it make, its gone up 2p in the last 2 weeks here

I've been saying it and saying it for months, fuel prices are stupid. People don't complain until they hit an extra £10 or so to fill up.

I use around a tank and half per week. To me, this £10 increase per tank means i spend another £60 a month on fuel. It's a big issue for someone like myself on a low income.

There's nothing i can do about the cost of fuel but it's now at the point where i can't afford to get to work. Firstly i need to speak to the boss but tbh, think i'll be out of work in the next month.
