Hey guys I'm in Australia and am looking at buying a 97 Barina SB GSI for my first car which I'm pretty sure is a Corsa Sport over in the UK. Its got the 16V twin cam 1600 in it, and purely out of curiousity - I was just wondering where the 'red line' and rev limiter is. Any help would be great, thanks!
Matt.

oh hang on sorry about that mate. For some reason I thought it said 1.2 16v.

I know the 1.2 16v has a limit of 6250... Someone else can hopefully confirm what the rev limit is on the 1.6 (think it's 6500 for 1.6).

I know they do seem to rev quite low, which is why on paper peak power is lower than similar 1.6's. The torque is very similar, but it doesn't carry it up to higher in the revs.

Yeh but you had Nos, dual cooler, electic twin turbo and stand alone fuel management. Not a bad way to spend 15 grand
