after a new pc but want a cheap/budget one
built last 1 myself so could do it again
just after decent website to buy parts from

or

any1 know where i can get just the base unit with options of what i want to be included - like ram, hard drive, dvd rom , windows etc

Cheaper and easier just to go to Dell than build these days.

I like Vista, some don't. If you're unsure you could do a lot worse than going to your local PC World to have a look at it, then buy online whatever system you like the look of.

As for spec, thats up to you and what you're gonna use it for.
