You could save money with using bits from your current PC. Case, HDD, optical drives, etc.

ahhh il just have to see how much i can take the piss then haha.

Old pc hasnt really got anything worth carrying over, its got 2x 512mb sticks of RAM, no idea what kind though. Going to keep the 120gb HDD aswel as it has all my pics, music & downloads on.

Regarding software, would i have to 'purchase' vista versions of hte software i have already 'bought'?

Would it just be easier to have XP?

Vista is £62 from ebuyer. http://www.ebuyer.com/product/123067

Found the E6750 from scan on today only for £110.44

You could buy a cheaper case, but that antec is nice. This is also quite popular http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/ProductInfo.asp?WebProductID=501972

Yes the antec is supposed to be good, and if it was too loud you could add quiter fans and sound proof stuff.

Found the ram for £48.16 http://www.dabs.com/ProductView.aspx?Quicklinx=3R5P

Just add a fan controller to it to quieten it down, should only spin them upto full speed (and loudest setting) when the computer really under load. If you stick with decent quality 120mm fans though then you shouldnt have a problem with them running at slower speeds as will still shift a decent amount of air.

If your going to overclock I'd consider a heatsink too, something like the Artic Cooling Freezer Pro 7 is only about £14 and top quality.
