Bit more details needed... Stud wall existing? total thickness of wall at the moment to work out what size timber they used. You will need a new door lining and stops also.

you will need a new door lining set about £30. size of timber needed will either be 3x2 cls or 4x2 cls depending upon what size studs are used.

If you know anyone with a magnet trade account you can get a door lining for £6 !

Screw your plasterboard to the timber too , nails are crap.

And you may want to fill the partition with insulation too , to reduce noise and retain heat.

I find the best way of plasterboarding over a door frame with minimal mess and a good fixing is to screw your new frame to the existing door frame , setting the frame inside the frame back the thickness of plasterboard , then once the frame is fixed , chisel away what is left of the door frame at each side and sheet it !

Hope that makes sense as its not easy to describe when you cant actually show what you mean
