Here is a little project that me and two mate decided to pick up and see if we could make something special.

We wanted this corsa a good 3 months ago but the guy wanted 150 for it and it didnt seem like a good deal to tell the truth so we waited and i kept driving past it sat on his drive way. Eventually i asked him if he wanted me to take it off his hands and he said "give me 40", so i couldnt refuse such a good deal. He hadnt changed anything to the car since he wanted 150 hahaha.

He didnt think the engine worked, it had no alloys, the door was bent, window smashed and there where a couple of dents around the car. General clean up needed.

This is how we got it.

Then we went to work on it. There isnt many interior progress pictures but thats boring so heres the aftermath, all took place within 3 hours on a windy tuesday.

Smashed Window

Today (wednesday) we started the bodywork taking all the bumpers, arches and getting the dents out. Went something like this.

Got the semi smooth going

Dents

THE TENDER TRIO (city of god quote)

Heres the plans:

  1. Semi Smooth Boot
  2. Get engine running perfect
  3. Redo all interior parts black
  4. Leather
  5. De Lock Handles
  6. Cav Gsi Alloys Matt Black with Polished Lip
  7. Fully Matt Black RESPRAY
  8. GSI spolier
  9. 2ltr Brakes
  10. Stereo
  11. Sell It ??

    THE MURDERED OUT TEAM!!!

Had 5 litres of matt black paint arrive yesterday.
Hopefully the high build primer will arrive today too and the new passenger side door.

Interior parts have started to be sprayed already too.
Dash board is black and the whole centre is going the become matt black to match the outside of the car and to get a cool contrast inside with the interior.

Still struggling to find cav slabs (hint hint) and leather interior (hint hint )

Budget looks to be blown too but it'll be worth it to see the finished article.

More pics of resprayed interior to follow.

UPDATE

Got the drums all sanded down and painted up today.

Also got it on the stand and wheels off so i can get to work cleaning out the insides of the arches and painting them up nice a new.

I also spent like 2 hours cleaning the engine but i didnt get any pictures of it.

Changed:
distrubtor
dizzy cap
leads
plugs
and rocker gasket

Engine runs smooth as a nut with only 64,000 on the clock and only for £40 hahahahha

Oh yeh and all the paint arrived (high build primer and matt black)

Joe

Progress:

Ok, so progress since the last thread is as follows.

- Both doors removed, replacement door has arrived which is a bit damaged but nothing which can't be repaired.

- Bonnet removed

- Completly stripped out not except dash board and engine

- Engine now runs VERY smoothly thanks to a complete new spark system and a rocker cover gasket now keeping the oil in!

- Gunk'd the engine so thats looking a lot better now too!

- Smashed window passenger side rear window (thanks to Joe )

Just need to key up the whole car by friday for the re-spray now...gonna be a bit of a mission!!

Car was totally key'd up today...well the outside was anyway!! lol.
Took ages...as well as finishing off the semi-smooth boot and a small dent in the bodywork.

Car is now basically ready to be put into primer and painted...cannot wait. Hopefully more pics to come shortly...watch this space on friday for pics of the car in primer.

Going to get the cav slabs tonight, come with 195/45/15 tyres. Going to be sprayed matt black also but with a polished rim...gonna be SO nice!

Still to do...
- Central locking
- Vectra door handles
- Leather interior (seats, roof lining, etc)
- Sort out new front bumper (still waiting on it to arrive...needs to be ready and smoothed by friday...bit worried right now!!)
- wheels painted and polished
- car painted
- umm...
- car all put back together
- Tax'd and MoT'd
- Then we cry when its sold!!!

Going to look amazing when it done.
Will be up for sale within 3-4 weeks if all goes to plan might be before that!

So start saving your pounds up!!

Green thing - here is some encouragement to get another project...

...been so much fun, wish we'd started earlier to be honest and done a few more!

You could always buy the corsa off us when its done and put a 2.0L in it? Would totally finish it off and would suit the car.

Matt black, smooth, 2.0L...we'd have done it but we had a budget!! lol.
