I also would quite like a gsi front bumper.

But they seem quite hard to get hold off.

Where do you get them from and do the fog lights just plug straight into a switch thats already there??

Cheers for the replies

Stay clear if the mass air flow sensor goes used to work for vauxhall and you are lokking £300,oil pressure switches go on these engines and in some cases the chains can wear through the cover causing engine oil to piss out the side of the engine that is a bastard of a job and could be looking 300-500 to fixthe 1.2 8 valve is tons more reliable but slower and older

I just liked the look and the price of this car.

Im not overly keen on the corsa c either and tbh if i had the money i would buy a 206 as i think they are a prettier car compared with the standard corsa c despite the fact that 206's are made of paper.

Also i wanted something that is very simple to work on mechanically - as both my dad and i have had some busting head aches with my dads meriva being the sort of car that really requires mainly specialist tools and is very hard to work on at home with only simple tools.

Well i have an update on the corsa.

I went to view the car today by myself on the way home from college.
As i happens the car is actually a 1.0 12v, the dealer mis-read the badge on the back. Whoops. But because of this i got him down to 1050 quid rather than 1200 - after a bit of haggling mind you...

However, the interior is immaculate with no age related marks or tears at all.

As for the exterior apart from the missing alloy wheel centre hubs the exterior is very tidy - apart from where some idiot has keyed it down the rear 3/4 panel from the petrol cap to the front door. This has been repaired although it has been done poorly and will need to be polished down as the repair has been done with a touch up stick.

The car runs well with all the warning lights going on then off a few seconds later, no rattles and no mayo gunk around the oil cap, but one thing i do have to comment on is the fact that the car vibrates alot when idiling.
I just wanted to ask is this normal or is it something i should be alarmed about??

AS usual your replies are appreciated.

Cheers

Its not that that it idled dogily, the car just seemed to vibrate when the engine was running.

I thought this is maybe due to it being a 3 cylinder...???

I just need to get my dad now to test drive it now to make sure it drives alright.

I think the price is ok now, but i have been advised by a family friend not to get a1.0 12v corsa as they are under powered and the fuel economy suffers as a result?

Is he right?

Cheers for the replies.

I've heard a 1.0 letre is better too but how can it be when a 1.2 is more cc lol.. But when looking at the car mate because your young like me don't go for looks. Look at any faults etc... As long as there is no knocking & everyting sounds ok when the car drives and runs then go for it. Because a part for a car such as tyers etc.. Cost loads the body work is not a problem doesnt cost as much and can come all in good time. But yea get the car if its a good runner! x
