hey i drive a Vauxhall Corsa Sri 8v

was just wondering when is the best time to change gear when am nailling it, i just found out that it appanrently not all cars pull to the redline

so when is the peak power on my 1.4 8v corsa.

just for when i have to get away quickly

Well they will all differ.

You should be able to tell when its not pulling at its best and just making noise

so far i been bouncing it off the limiter! lol..

i was thinking the peak power would be somewhere between 4.5k-6k

Drive in reverse then you don't need to worry about changing gear

fonz i dont understand how the 1.4 sri is the slowest corsa ever built

2.5 - 3 for day to day.

6 if your wanting to go fast.
(long as the mph is still pulling after 5)

I change at 3k and before 4k when i go a bit faster

Mine pulls to about 5900, so usually just take it to the redline at 6
