Well today i was in the garage & took jambo's advice & but my un-butchered gsi bumper on to hide my " slapped on chavvy intercooler "

UP-DATE.

After doing a wet & dry compression test & now a sniff test the symptoms are looking towards piston rings or a burnt out valve.

Fucking awesome luck i have. Lost all faith on this car now & its killing me. I'm very tempted to strip it & try to make some money back.

Fucking gutted would be an under statment. This car is my baby, all my money, time & effort goes into it & i never get the break i want. It fucking sucks big time . I really don't know what to do .

I love this corsa!, think it's one of the best on the site tbh, just the fact that you do have mega bad luck with the engine, but i think you should keep at it!

Gutted fella, shame you wernt closer i would happily have give you a hand!

It would take a fair few hours but get the head off and check it out, may be an easy fix with a new valve, but still if need be wip the engine out and put rings in it, they are about £70 ish for standards, horne the bores and whack it back in. could have most of it done in a weekend.

Good luck, I want to see it at PV!

get it sorted. if makes you any better.....my mates ratty kadett LET that was at pv last year, died on rollers satday. melted number 3 piston and no2 is abit iffy. engines stripped. managed to get 2new pistons from SBd(last ones they had til new batch) cometci ordered. and im gona be up late 2night and 2moz to get the head ported/ploished and engine built for friday...o and a new block bored


so chin up, can be done in a weekend or so. got 10dasy left

I wish people around my way are experianced with these engines . I can honstly say 110% the car will not be at p.v.s.

You could always take a treck up to oxford .
