14.5 seconds and you did 61mph....i'm not makin this up!!

But Pete, thats plotting on a straight line - as an engineer, you should know that acceleration is an exponential curve, with the rate of acceleration decreasing as speed increases

yes yes i know that, we all do, but given the numbers avialable that what i've calculated, besides Coorsa's cant be far off given the 1/8mile figures......its the best i can do with the info provided!!

Yea I agree about Coorsa's time, if anything 13.55 is a bit quick - 0.95 seconds to get 1 mph more

what were gav's times he gave you?

don't take that the wrong way mate, just seems slow to me, feels so muh faster inside

mmm, just cos it's near the book figure for mine, 1.2 16v, although one rather innaccurately timeds 0-60 run I got it to 11.9

Couldnt find my slip for my fastest time but the closest one i had to give was:


10.8018 sec 1/8 @ speed of 65.89 mph

1/4 in 16.72 sec @ 83.41 mph

Umm Gav, if your 1/8 time was 10.8 @ 65 mph, I don't think 12.23 is correct to 60

At I guess, I would say 10 seconds flat sounds about right at those accelerations IMO.

Sounds like a good day, my engineering teacher owns the white mr2 there with the carbon bonnet, he ran 13.1 and was the quickest out of the 20 mr2's there supposedly.
