iv'e got a 1.4 spi, and i'm just wondering the noise is coming from my throttlebody/carb area??(from inside the black box where the injector is)
its tappety/clicky, i've cleaned the icv with carb cleaner, still does it.
anyone??

Have you got plenty of oil in it and has it been changed recently? sounds like noisy valve lifters to me. some tap when they get old but low oil pressure makes them noisy

Could be tappets, or I had this problem with my A4 and couldnt work out what was wrong with it - turned out to be the fan belt.

nah my valve lifters are a bit noisey, but the tapping i'm talking about is coming from the injector housing???

its not running rough or anything, its just passed MOT first time last week, its just an annoying noise. any fixes??
