My old one started doing it a week before its MOT was due. Didn't realise it was a recall so I bought a new seatbelt clip and tensioner out of my own pocket and fitted them.

On my Corsa (2000 W Reg GLS), I had a problem where my drivers belt kept popping out of the clip even when it was securely clipped in. I visited my local Vauxhall Garage and they found an outstanding recall on my car to do with the springs or something in the belt clip. They did the work for free and this solved the problem, I did 10,000 more miles with no more popping out seatbelt.
I feel this is very important but people don't seem to be bothered about it. From what it sounds like, this is one bit that failed on Monsters car...
If its possible could admin make this sticky as its basic personal safety.
My corsa had this 99 Sxi. - I had my seatbelt tied up with a piece of string for ages just to stop being nicked by police for having no belt on
just bought some 2nd hand ones and replaced them tho.

Vauxhall Recall Telephone number
0118 9458500
Monday to Friday 0900 to 1730 and Saturday 0900 to 1200.
Vauxhall Recall E-mail address
Vauxhall@vehiclerecalls.co.uk
All recalls have been carried out on my car seatbelt clips were done in March 2001. I find it interesting that my car is a W-reg B, so quite late in the lifetime of the model. They must have known about the recall BEFORE it was sold, yet the recall wasn't carried out until March 2001 (car was registered in 2000).

Description: SEAT BELT LATCHING CONCERN
VIN: VARIOUS
Build Date: 1st January 1999 to 31st December 2000

I retract my previous statement about mine being a late B and it being sold like it. Wasn't realised until the February. So mine was carried out by the original owner.
pow, the original owner of yours must have sold pretty quickly, or moved?
