whats up with your bodies?? 45mm aint they?

also what valve springs you using??

i'm thinking of x16xe uprated single springs for mine

incorrect spacing, i need the st bodies, there narrower

you cant use x16xe springs unless you fit x16xe valves and guides.....

its awesome doing it the manual way. takes a while but do a few, have a smoke break etc.

got one at work, but only good for the x16xe valves, as there 6mm not 5mm like these....

couldnt find anything to fit earlier...

I've got one of those stupid concentric lapping add-ons for a drill.. Its shit! I think your idea is actually better

got it done at my local engeering place

gave up with the manual way, used the old fanshion drill method!

got all valves lapped in and new steam seals fitted

as she sits atm, awaiting springs and caps to be fitted tomorrow

old vs new





head ready to go on

run cams without tappets, needed abit of modification on exhasut side to clear - sorted

all built up with cam lube
back cover on, tensioner, metal rollers, veriner pulleys all fitted and timed up

How come your not running tappets is it because of the type of cams your using?

i think it's to check cam lobes don't catch on casting etc any where.

5mm or 6mm, the x16xe valves are 1mm bigger
