i use the same tires (sp) all year round but we don't get a lot of rain and no snow like you do we are still having days like today which was really sunny and 21 degrees

freezing cold today up here so thought it was a prime day to get them changed plus salt ruins my white alloys.

just standard fiesta st wheels, can't see the point in changing the wheels, although i understand if you have white/polished/bbs wheels

freeeeezin aint a lie there des. i came out to my works van at half 6 this morning-FLAT TIRE so after lots of coldness/swearin etc got it done. i aint got winter wheels for my corsa, it jus goes into hydin til the bad weathers gone jus abuse the works van

to be honest, winter wheels are only really neccessary if you have wheels with a polished surface not really neccesary on a vauxhall corsa imho

It's not really to do with the finish of the wheels IMO, it's all about how much the wheels are worth.

My old wheels would have been £550 new, so £160 on a set for the winter saves me spending £250 on a refurb (and having to find wheels while that's being done), or £550 on new wheels in the spring.

Stoney's wheels are rare as fuck, and worth a fair few quid, the GSi ones aren't, so they're better to use when the roads are crap because it doesn't matter if the salt chews them up.

I've got my 14in SXi wheels in the garage, but they don't grip at all so I keep my Comp's on. Getting em refurbed sometime next year anyway, ready to go on my new car
