hi people, i have a c20xe in my corsa & the engine has died on me . Basically i want to rebuild my engine & i need pointing in the right direction. ive head of a company that takes your old engine & exchanges it for a full recond engine but im unsure of the companies name & how true it is! Any help would be very greatfull.

well the bottom end is gone, i could just rebuild the bottom but im unsure how much this is going to cost me

Im sure you could pick up a 2nd hand bottom end easily.

put it this way, it sound like a really un-healthy diesal & sound like a rod has snapped! yeah i could do that but my xe engine has really low miles on it & i dont want to buy a high milaged bottom end

Strip it down, get it checked, and take it from there.

Im quite sure there are a vast selection of bottom ends out there, meaning a low mileage one should be possible.

I have no idea mate.

Id imagine it'd depend on the extent of the rebuilt.

well if ive scorched one of the bores is it worth me having it bored out to a 2.1 or just have it bored out 0.5mm?
