well if ive scorched one of the bores is it worth me having it bored out to a 2.1 or just have it bored out 0.5mm?

I have no idea mate.

Id imagine it'd depend on the extent of the rebuilt.

how much do you think it will be to fully re-build the bottom?

Strip it down, get it checked, and take it from there.

Im quite sure there are a vast selection of bottom ends out there, meaning a low mileage one should be possible.

put it this way, it sound like a really un-healthy diesal & sound like a rod has snapped! yeah i could do that but my xe engine has really low miles on it & i dont want to buy a high milaged bottom end

Is it knocking?

Im sure you could pick up a 2nd hand bottom end easily.

well the bottom end is gone, i could just rebuild the bottom but im unsure how much this is going to cost me
